Welcome to Lewes YMCA
Building and supporting “a brighter future for children, young people and families” in Lewes and the surrounding areas.
We are situated in the heart of Lewes, next to the historic castle on Westgate Street. We offer a popular Ofsted Registered After School Club and Holiday Playscheme as well as providing out of school activities on Landport and DeMontfort estates and support other local play events.
Evenings and weekends we hire our premises to various local dance, sports and creative groups who provide a broad assortment of clubs and groups for local people, from five-rhythms dance, to child-birthing classes, to table-tennis!
We hope to provide further play opportunities for more children in the local and wider area of Lewes and District – so your ideas and encouragement will be gratefully received.
Our MAY PLAYSCHEME “GREEN FINGERS” is running from Tuesday 28th May to Friday 31st May, from 8.30 am until 5.30pm. There will be bug hunts, planting, scarecrow making, sunflower & salad growing, Pip’s piglets, den making, dance & drama and team games all based around the them. As usual, alongside these optional activities, will be a wide a wide range of other activities and free play.
